Integrating School Mental Health with PBIS – The Interconnected Systems Framework

A significant number of Kentucky school children are at risk for or are experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges. KYCID staff are collaborating with agencies across the Commonwealth to develop a state model for integrating school mental health supports with PBIS into a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) framework. The attached monograph, Advancing Education Effectiveness: Interconnecting School Mental Health and School-Wide Positive Behavior Support, provides an extensive look at The Interconnected Systems Framework (ISF) as a possible mechanism to link School Mental Health and PBIS.
